What is CPL?
You probably already know LEGO, the company that makes edgy plastic bricks that hurt a lot when stepping on them and sparks hours and hours of creativity and smiles.
Well, LEGO Creative Play Lab is the department in LEGO in charge of developing the future of play and come up with radically new experiences and business models that challenge the way things are currently done.
LIGHT AND SHAPE
I explored the boundaries between light and matter in a research project at SEATs Design Center.
2011-12 // Barcelona-SP
This project challenged the idea of light as a purely functional and aesthetic component in a car's body. It tried to understand how light may influence the driver's emotions and be integrated, from the beginning, into the machine's character.
By playing with various forms and physical sculptures, I was able to see how character lines and light blended into new expressions and shapes that were only possible when combining the two.
